This Privacy Policy explains how KitaMatch PH collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you use the quiz, checkout, payment, account, Starter Kit, and feedback features.
For privacy questions or requests, contact support@kitamatchph.com.
In plain terms
We collect what we need to run your quiz result, checkout, and Guide or Starter Kit access — your name, email, payment status, and what you've unlocked. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. This summary is just a quick orientation — the full policy below is what actually governs how we handle your information.
Quiz answers and Starter Kit progress are stored only in your browser (session storage and local storage, respectively) and are not sent to our servers. Guide progress is also browser-local by default. The Canva Guide has an optional manual account-sync control: if you choose “Save to account,” that Guide's current answers and progress are stored on our server under an internal account-scoped identifier so you can deliberately restore the saved copy on another signed-in device. It is not an automatic background sync.
Payments are processed by PayMongo using the QRPh payment method. When you check out, your name and email are sent to PayMongo to generate your payment QR code. KitaMatch PH receives back information needed to confirm and match your payment, such as payment status, the transaction/order reference, amount, and payment timestamps.
KitaMatch PH does not receive or store your complete bank credentials, MPIN, one-time passwords, or e-wallet login details. Never send this information to support — we will never ask for it.
We do not use this information for advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
After you finish a Starter Kit on your device, you may choose to submit a 1–5 star rating and an optional written comment. We store one editable feedback record per account and Starter Kit using an internal account-scoped identifier; the raw email address is not stored inside the feedback record.
Submitted ratings may later be used in aggregate Starter Kit ratings and review counts. We display a written comment publicly only if you explicitly opt in to anonymous sharing. Public comments are not published automatically in the current version, and we do not display your email or account details with them.
Near the end of a Guide, you may optionally rate how helpful it was, tell us whether you finished with what you expected, identify where you felt stuck, and leave a short written comment. Some Guides may also ask whether you feel confident using the output you created.
If you are signed in, Guide feedback is stored under an internal account-scoped identifier rather than putting your raw email address inside the feedback record. A Free Guide can accept feedback without sign-in; in that case your browser creates a random identifier so the same device can reload or edit the feedback. Anonymous Free Guide feedback is kept for up to 365 days. We do not publish Guide comments in the current version.
After you see your quiz result, you may optionally tell us whether the match felt right — Yes, it fits, Somewhat, or Not really — and, if not really, which direction you expected instead and an optional short comment. This is collected anonymously using a random identifier generated in your browser; we do not attach your name, email, account, or raw quiz answers to it.
We store a summarized snapshot of the match itself (such as the matched direction, fit level, and whether any feasibility caution applied) alongside your answer, so we can review patterns later — for example, whether a particular type of result is more often reported as not feeling right. This feedback never changes your quiz result, and it is not published or displayed publicly. Quiz-result feedback records are kept for up to 365 days and then automatically deleted.
Depending on the activity, we process personal information to:
We do not treat checkout or account processing as marketing consent, and we do not bundle any consent request with unrelated marketing purposes.
Some pages — including checkout — offer a separate, optional checkbox to receive KitaMatch updates, new Guide and Starter Kit releases, and occasional offers. This checkbox is unchecked by default and is never required to complete a purchase, join a waitlist, or use your account. Purchasing a Starter Kit, signing in, or joining a specific product's waitlist does not, by itself, sign you up for these broader marketing emails.
If you opt in, we record your email address, the source of your consent (for example, checkout), the date and time, and the version of the consent wording you agreed to — not just a single yes/no flag — so we can show what you actually agreed to if that's ever in question.
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing does not require signing in, takes effect immediately, and only stops marketing email — it never removes your purchases, your My Library access, your ability to sign in, or transactional email such as your login code, purchase confirmations, or support replies. If an email to your address bounces permanently or is marked as spam, we stop sending marketing email to that address as well.
A product-specific waitlist signup ("notify me when this is available") is a separate consent from general marketing email — joining one does not enroll you in the other.
We work with the following service providers to operate KitaMatch PH:
Information is shared with these providers only as necessary to operate KitaMatch PH. These providers may process information on infrastructure located outside the Philippines, depending on where each provider operates; we do not promise Philippines-only storage.
We use limited analytics, provided by PostHog, to understand how people use KitaMatch and improve the experience. Analytics events are designed to avoid sending personal information such as your email address, quiz free-text responses, payment identifiers, or access codes. We do not call out to PostHog with an identified user profile tied to your name or email.
Our analytics service itself is configured without automatic pageview tracking, session recording, or cross-site tracking.
KitaMatch may store a small amount of first-party information in your browser to keep product experiments consistent and understand how you arrived at the site. This may include an anonymous rollout assignment and marketing attribution information such as UTM source, medium, and campaign. This information is used for product improvement and funnel measurement and is not used to identify you across other websites. When you view your quiz result, the rollout assignment and any UTM values may be included in the analytics events we send.
PostHog, as our analytics provider, still receives standard technical information generated by your browser when an event is sent (such as IP address), independent of our client-side settings — so we do not describe this analytics as fully anonymous.
The only cookie set by KitaMatch PH itself is a signed session cookie used to keep you signed in after verifying your login code. It does not contain your password (there is no password) and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. We do not currently show a cookie-consent banner; this session cookie is used only to operate the sign-in feature you actively use.
We share personal information with the service providers listed above only as necessary to operate KitaMatch PH — for example, sending your name and email to PayMongo to process a payment, or your email to Resend to deliver a login code. We do not sell personal information.
Order and purchase records are retained for a limited period after your purchase to allow payment verification, support, and dispute handling. Starter Kit access and entitlement records are retained for as long as needed to provide you continued access to what you purchased. Login codes are short-lived and expire shortly after they are issued.
If you choose to set a preferred display name, it is stored with your account email and kept for as long as your account and Starter Kit access exist, or until you ask us to change or delete it. We do not set a fixed expiry for it, and it is never created from your checkout name.
Starter Kit feedback is kept while it remains useful for improving the service or until you ask us to delete it, subject to any legal, security, or dispute-handling reason that requires us to retain a record longer. If you previously allowed anonymous public sharing, a deletion request also applies to the stored comment; future public-display tooling must be designed to honor that request.
Signed-in Guide feedback is kept while it remains useful for improving the service or until you ask us to delete it, subject to any legal, security, or dispute-handling reason that requires longer retention. Anonymous Guide feedback submitted without sign-in is kept for up to 365 days. Because anonymous Guide feedback is not linked to your name or email, we may not be able to locate an individual anonymous record from an account-based deletion request.
If you use the Canva Guide's optional account-sync control, the synced Guide copy is retained until you delete that synced copy from the Guide or ask us to delete it, subject to any legal, security, or dispute-handling reason that requires longer retention. Resetting the browser copy does not automatically delete the separately synced account copy.
Quiz-result feedback is kept for up to 365 days from submission and then automatically deleted. Because it is not linked to your name, email, or account, we cannot look up or delete an individual quiz-result feedback record on request.
Beyond these specifics, we retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing access, resolving payments, maintaining security, handling disputes, and meeting applicable legal obligations.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may contact support@kitamatchph.com to request, where applicable: access to your information, correction, deletion or blocking, objection to certain processing, data portability, more information about how your data is processed, or assistance with a suspected privacy issue.
Some records may need to be retained even after a deletion request — for example, to complete payment reconciliation, prevent fraud, handle a dispute, maintain security, or meet a legal obligation. We cannot promise immediate or unconditional deletion in every case.
KitaMatch PH is a paid service intended for people capable of entering into a valid transaction. If you are a minor, please use KitaMatch PH only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
